"Code 30" is what is called out over the hospital loudspeaker when a patient suffers a cardiac arrest. We've all seen the drama of a Code 30 on television shows such as "ER," "St. Elsewhere," and others.
Sometimes a patient recovers from a Code 30. Sometimes the patient does not recover.
